Apartment and condo moves live or die on the building rules: the freight-elevator window, the loading-zone spot, the certificate of insurance the property manager wants on file. 1st Priority Movers moves studios, lofts, and high-rises around the Pearl, Southtown, and downtown — and we handle all of that for you.
The buildings we move in
Downtown San Antonio and the Pearl district are full of mid-rise and high-rise towers, gated condo communities, and converted-warehouse lofts. Each has its own logistics, and we plan for them before move day rather than improvising in the lobby.
- Downtown high-rises like Tower Life and The Mosaic with shared freight elevators
- Gated and access-controlled condo communities
- Third-floor walk-ups with tight, switchback stairwells
- Pearl and Southtown lofts in converted-warehouse buildings
Building logistics we handle
Most complexes require a reserved elevator window and a certificate of insurance, and many limit where the truck can sit. We sort the paperwork and the timing with your property manager ahead of time.
- ElevatorWe book your reserved freight-elevator window
- ParkingLoading-zone or permit spot arranged before arrival
- InsuranceCertificate of insurance sent to your building on request
- ProtectionElevator pads, corner guards and floor runners in common areas
Built for tight stairwells and elevators
A two-mover crew at $110/hr handles most studios and one-bedrooms — the same rate as a small local move across San Antonio. For a downtown condo with a narrow service elevator or a long walk from the loading zone, we add a third mover so the reserved window is not wasted standing in line.
Who books an apartment move with us
Renters moving between Pearl-area lofts, young couples buying a first Southtown condo, and downsizers leaving a house for a low-maintenance high-rise (our house movers handle the move out) make up most of these jobs. We cover apartments throughout the San Antonio service area.
- Building check — send us the elevator rules, loading-zone or permit parking, and any insurance certificate the property wants with your free quote request.
- Reserve the window — your move is scheduled around the elevator slot and the crew is sized to finish inside it.
- Move day — pads on the elevator and corners, furniture wrapped, and a clean walk-through before we leave.
